TANE Marathon Health and Liability Consent
By registering for the TANE Marathon, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms:
Health Declaration:
I confirm that I am in good health and have no medical conditions that would prevent me from participating in the marathon. I am physically fit and capable of completing the distance for which I am registering.
- I understand that it is my responsibility to consult with a healthcare provider prior to participating if I have any health concerns or pre-existing conditions.
Personal Responsibility:
- I acknowledge that participation in the marathon involves inherent risks and that it is my responsibility to assess these risks. I am aware of and accept the potential risks associated with physical exercise and outdoor events.
Medical Treatment:
- In the event of an emergency, I consent to receive medical treatment as deemed necessary by event staff or medical personnel. I understand that the event organisers will take reasonable steps to ensure my safety, but I am ultimately responsible for my own health and well-being.
Liability Wavier:
- I agree to release, indemnify, and hold harmless the event organisers, sponsors, volunteers, and any affiliated parties from any claims, liabilities, losses, or damages arising out of or in connection with my participation in the marathon, including any injury or damage incurred.
Data Protection:
I consent to the collection and use of my personal data as required for event registration and management, in accordance with applicable data protection laws. My data will be handled in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and will not be shared with third parties without my consent.
Photography and Media:
- I understand that my participation may be captured in photographs or videos, which may be used for promotional purposes. I consent to the use of such media in marketing and promotional materials related to the event.
By completing the registration process, I acknowledge that I have read, understood, and agree to the above terms and conditions.
